Crispy Garlic Pork Bites
Your favourite takeout flavors at home!
Ingredients
Garlic Pork Marinade
- 3-4 lbs Fresh diced pork loin
- 1.5 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp all spice
- 500 ml buttermilk 2 cups
- ½ cup light soy sauce
Crispy Flour Mix
- 500 gram flour
- 250 grams corn starch
- 1-2 tbsp salt
- 1-2 tbsp cracked pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine your garlic pork marinade ingredients. Mix well until evenly coated and cover. Leave refrigerated for 4 hours or overnight for best results.
- Once your pork has had time to marinate. Prepare your crispy flour mixture by adding all ingredients into a second bowl.
- Bring out your pork from the fridge. With a slotted spoon, drain of excess marinade and place the pork into your flour mixture. Do this in small batches to ensure your pork bites are evenly coated with flour.
- Taking a sieve, scoop out pork bites, shake off excess flour and gently place into a preheated deep fryer or air fryer. Fry until overall golden brown and crispy.
- When done, remove pork bites from hot oil using your sieve and place them on a rack or paper towel to drain off excess oil.
- Garnish with green onion and your favourite seasoning for added flavour!
- Note: when frying, be sure not to overcrowd pork bites and place sparingly to ensure maximum crispiness!
- Customize this recipe to your taste by tossing fried pork bits in your desired seasoning and serve alongside your favourite dip!
