
Maple Bourbon Ham

Ingredients
- Johnston's Ham
Rub
- 2 tbsp Johnston's Sweet Hogg Rub
- 2 tbsp maple sugar
Glaze
- ¼ cup bourbon aged maple syrup
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- ½ tsp cloves
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Spritz
- Apple cinnamon spritz
Instructions
- Take out your amazing ham and score the top, 1 inch cubes
- Make sure all the seasoning get down into the cuts of your ham
- Roll your smoker at 275-325° F. Your ham is already cooked so you just want to get some smoke and bring the internal temperature to 125° F.
- After 1.5 hours, you’ll mist the ham with your apple cinnamon spritz
- After 1.5-2 hours, you’ll mop on your glaze and let that melt on for an additional 30 minutes.
- Take your ham off the smoker, and get ready to slice into the best ham you’ve ever had!
- You can use the pan drippings for even more amazing flavour! Enjoy!
