Pork Chops with Jerk Seasoning
Ingredients
- 6 1" thick Johnston’s Centre-Cut Loin Pork Chops boneless
- 1 ½ tsp ground allspice
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Trim off any visible fat from pork chops.
- In a small bowl, combine all seasoning and oil; mix to blend.
- Spread past mixture on both sides of each pork chop. Place pork chops in a self-sealing plastic bag or baking dish and cover. Chill for 3 hours or overnight in refrigerator.
- Place chops on rack in broiler pan; broil 5 to 6 inches (13 - 15 cm) from heat for 6 - 7 minutes on each side, until brown and chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Serve with colorful orange squash or sweet potatoes, and fresh green beans.
