Back Bacon Fruit Kabobs

Ingredients
- 12 wooden skewers soaked in water
- 1 lb Johnston’s Back Bacon cut into 1.5” chunks
- 6 strawberries hulled
- 1 pineapple cut into 1.5” chunks
- 1-2 apples cut into 1.5” chunks
- 12 grapes
- 2-3 kiwis cut into 1.5” chunks
- 1 cantaloupe cut into 1.5” chunks
- 1 banana cut into 1.5” chunks
- ½ cup agave or honey
- 2-4 tbsp warm water
- 5 drops Chipotle Tabasco sauce
- you can use any fruit of choice (the firmer the better) cut into 1.5” chunks
Instructions
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium high heat and place a large sheet of foil onto the grate
- Thread alternating fruit and bacon onto each skewer
- Mix honey, water, and Tabasco sauce in a bowl and brush the glaze mix over each skewer
- Place kabobs on the BBQ grill at an angle and grill until the fruit is softened and bacon is warm with prominent grill marks
- Flip skewers frequently to ensure they do not burn, about 3 - 4 minutes per side
- Serve warm off the grill
- Tip: When grilling, have a spray bottle of water to use for flame flare ups
